Journalism 2.0 at the Black Country Social Media Cafe

Posted on | June 10, 2009 | No Comments

Yesterday was the third Black Country Social Media Cafe, a place for those interested in social media to get together and share ideas. Unlike some other social media cafes we try to include a panel of speakers talking on a specific topic amongst the more informal chat. This month the topic was Journalism 2.0, and thanks to a great panel comprising of Linda Jones, Dan Slee, and Philip John it was a lively discussion which everyone got something from.

Whilst organising these events can be quite hard work: organising panel, sponsors, marketing the event. They are a great opportunity to meet people in the field, and when it goes well it all seems worth it.

Why a Blog?

Successful adoption of the web is not based on having static web pages that tell your customers what you do, but having interactive spaces that allow you to engage with your customers and show them what you do. This blog will be one of the places that people will be able to see the sort of the work I do and the services I offer.
